Career Technologies   Education (ED)     ED:105   Introduction to Early Childhood Education   3 cr.   CMS Introductory study of education for young children. This course is intended to equip beginning teachers of young children and those students interested in early childhood education with a working knowledge of educational methods and principles in dealing with young children through a developmental curriculum. (59.4 Lec. Hrs.)     ED:210   Exceptional Persons   3 cr.   MS An introductory course designed to provide the student with an overview of the field of special education and the policies and programs established for the education of exceptional students. It includes an analysis of the nature, incidence and characteristics of the physically and mentally handicapped, the behavior disordered, the talented and gifted and the learning disabled. (59.4 Lec. Hrs.)     ED:220   Human Relations for the Classroom Teacher   3 cr.   MS Includes interpersonal and intergroup relations and contributes to the development of sensitivity to and understanding of the values, beliefs, life styles, and attitudes of individuals and the diverse groups found in a pluralistic society. The course is designed to emphasize development of one's selfconcept, review and development of one's values and attitudes toward ethnic groups of our society, and involvement of class members in activities designed to improve communication and intergroup relations.
