Here is an example to aid in understanding the course description designations:

Course title.

Number of semester hours the course is worth.

Designates where the course is offered:
C
represents Clinton Community College.
M
represents Muscatine Community College.
S
represents Scott Community College.

Description of course content.
7)
Designates the number of 50-minute contact hours per semester spent in lecture (Lec. Hrs.) and/or laboratory setting (Lab Hrs.).
8)
Prerequisites
are courses that must be successfully completed or other qualifications that must be met prior to enrolling in the listed course.
9)
Co-requisites
are courses that must be taken before or at the same time as the listed course.
Not all courses are available on all campuses each semester.
