Subjects covered include FAA regulations related to IFR conditions; the IFR air traffic system and procedures; the provisions of the Airman's Information Manual pertinent to IFR flight; dead reckoning appropriate to IFR navigation; IFR navigation by radio aids using the VOR, ADF and ILS systems; the use of IFR charts and instrument approach procedures charts; the procurement and use of weather information; and the function, use and limitations of flight instruments. |
