Anthropology (AN)
AN:110 Anthropology-Cultural 3 cr.
A comparative study of culture and social organization and the study of the effect and influence of language.
This course satisfies a general education requirement in the Cultural-Historical Perspectives Area.

AN:112-113 Readings in Anthropology 1-2 cr.
Provides the student with additional reading in anthropology, allowing the student to obtain a greater understanding in various problem areas in the discipline. The student has the opportunity to earn one or two credits.

AN:120 Introduction to Archaeology 3 cr.
A survey course dealing with the life and culture of historically important societies around the world, such as Egypt and Mesopotamia, Greece and Rome, the Aztecs, Mayans and others in Mesoamerica, and China. Examines how different societies deal with universal issues and problems, such as government, business, religion and family life.
